The History Surrounding Vesi House
A Local Landmark
The Main House underwent a full transformation—floors were refinished, the grand 12-foot pocket door was beautifully restored and stained, and a brand-new kitchen was installed, complete with a dining table and island. A large front sidewalk was added, all bathrooms were demolished and redesigned, and the upstairs master bedroom—now featuring a private balcony—was reimagined as a serene retreat. Flowers were planted throughout the property, including along the driveway. A cozy living area and bar were also added, creating a perfect gathering space for this tropical sanctuary.
House Two, originally a game room used by the Survivor production crew, was converted into a fully equipped second home, featuring a kitchen, master ensuite, and family room. Furniture for all the homes was shipped from California to complement the new designs.
House Three, known as the Master Bedroom House, received an elegant makeover with a new sitting area and a black-tiled walk-in shower. Stone flooring was added to the outdoor shower, enhancing its natural beauty.
House Four, the Caretaker's House, was updated with a new front porch, a completely redesigned living room, and a brand-new kitchen.
The Black House: A Local Landmark
To unify the estate, the exterior Vesi wood—including the roofs—was stained a deep, elegant black. The bold finish gave the property a fresh identity. Today, it’s affectionately known around Savusavu as “The Black House.” When we mention Vesi House, locals smile and say, “You mean the Black House?” And we proudly say—yes, that’s the one.

Furnishings were hand-selected and shipped from California to ensure every space felt like home.
